GHOST OF A FEELING
BY CELESTINE TRINIDAD

Cris Villareal is a promising medical student and junior intern at St. Rita’s Hospital—until the devastating loss of a patient and a humiliating encounter with a senior resident leave her dreams in pieces.
Crushed by guilt and despair, she finds herself on the rooftop edge of her apartment building, ready to let go of everything she once believed in.
But fate intervenes when she meets Emilio—the resident ghost of her apartment building.
With Emilio, Cris finds unexpected solace and understanding. He listens. He knows what it’s like to feel broken. And for the first time in a long time, she feels seen. With him, healing finally seems possible.
But Emilio isn’t what he seems. As their connection deepens, Cris must face the truth about him. She must decide whether she can still believe in hope again, or if some wounds are too deep to heal.

REVIEWS:
“This book shines with its great cast of characters and beautiful storytelling, but its true jewel is its heartfelt message. I highly recommend this book. Pick this one up!”
— Dr. Angeli E. Dumatol, author of Heartstruck

“There are some books that you read that you know will stay with you forever, and Celestine Trinidad’s Ghost of a Feeling is one of them. The book is written with such care that it’s easy to root for Cris and Nathan as they fall in love. But more than the kilig, their story reminds us that while some days may be dark and heavy, we can always hold onto hope.
— Ana Tejano, author of Keep the Faith

EXCERPT:
Nathan turned around and leaned his head against the door. He closed his eyes.
When he opened them again, he finally saw the girl.
She was standing on the ledge, one hand clutching a post, the other clenched tightly at her side, her eyes closed. She opened them and stared down below, then closed them again, a small sob escaping her as she did so.
“Shit, no, what are you doing?” Nathan yelled in alarm. “Stop! Stop!”
She opened her eyes and looked at him, her eyes wide.
When she finally saw him, her eyes grew even wider, and a single bead of sweat rolled down her forehead.
“Oh, God, please,” Nathan said, his voice cracking.
“Step away from the ledge, please. Don’t do this.”
Her face lost all its color, and she was shivering from head to toe. With that look of terror now full on her face, she finally blurted out:
    “Emilio?”
